FAQ

Q:  Do I need to run to participate?

A:  Absolutely not!  This is a fun run that is 1.3 miles long and appropriate for the whole family.  Participants are welcome to run, walk, skip, jump, or dance their way through the course.

Q: Do young kids have to pay to participate?

A: Kids 3 and under are free but will not receive a t-shirt unless they register.

Q:  How do I get my participant kit?

A: Participant kits will be sent home with students at McNeill.  For non-McNeill participants, kits will be available starting at 9:30 am on the day of the event.

Q:  Will the color ruin my clothing or shoes?

A: The color should mostly wash out after the event but we suggest wearing something you wouldn't mind getting a bit colorful. The sooner you wash it the better and it is suggested to wash items separately from your other laundry.

Q: Will the color wash off skin/out of hair?
A: Yes! The easiest way to get it off is while it’s still dry (shake, wiggle, jump up and down, vacuum, etc). After that, soap and water, with a little rinse and repeat action will do the trick.

Q: Is the color safe?

A:  The color powder we will be using is made in USA. environmentally safe, and non-toxic.   Colors are made up of Corn starch and FD&C and/or D&C colors.

Q: Can we eat the colors?
A: We don't recommend it. It is corn starch, but will taste about like colored dirt. We recommend wearing it, not ingesting it. If you cannot resist the desire to try it please know it is Gluten Free.
